Raw material selection:
The ingots used for the production and processing of materials shall be smelted in a vacuum consumable electric arc furnace or EB furnace smelting and vacuum consumable electric arc furnace smelting, and the number of smelting shall not be less than twice.
Precautions for medical titanium rods:
The chemical composition of the product meets the requirements of the corresponding brand in the medical standard, and the H content in pure titanium, TC4 and TC4ELI should not exceed 0.010%. When the buyer re-inspected, the allowable deviation of chemical composition should comply with relevant regulations.
Dimensions and allowable deviations The dimensions of the product should be measured with corresponding precision measuring tools, and the positive and negative tolerances should be guaranteed according to customer requirements.
The grade 23 titanium bar is annealed and polished, meets International ASTM F136 specifications, and has a standard tolerance. The grade 23 titanium alloy, also known as Ti 6Al-4V ELI, offers high toughness and moderate wear resistance, along with corrosion resistance, high strength, and good formability. The material has been annealed, a method of heating and cooling metal to modify its properties, such as increasing its formability and toughness or decreasing its strength, after it has been shaped.
Titanium and its alloys, due to a successful combination of high strength, sufficient technological properties, small density and good corrosion resistance are gaining wider application for medical implants production. The application of titanium alloys for surgical implants, micro instruments and also sets of microsurgical instruments in combination with stainless steels is most expedient.
